How much would you say your tool collection is worth?
Just tools, not toolboxes or cabinets or power tools like grinders or sawzalls. Mine is about 4,000.

I'm thinking AT LEAST 15k, only tools, my storage easily doubles that.
|
2-3k and slowly but steady adding up. Precision measuring tools are the reason of it.
|
Not including my boxes... at least $100,000. The boxes alone... about $30,000. I use my tools to make my living though.
|
Somewhere between $4k and $6k I would guess.

Are all you guys above mechanics and apprentices??.....I'm just a drywaller by trade..My best tool is my hoist, cost a few G's,and prob only 2 g's of assorted auto pro and old craftsman mechanic stuff lol...

I really have no IDEA. They are worth more to me in what I can make using them vs what I have invested.

I'm also guessing. With the compressors, welders, jacks, alignment equipment, etc. it adds up pretty quick. I was counting all of those in the total. |
Technician by trade. My estimate is just for hand/air/cordless tools
I bought a diagnostic scanner that was almost 3k by itself, and have several test kits that range in the hundreds each that arn't included in that total. I'd rather not think of how much I've spent on this profession. Probably could have bought a GTR by now. |
