Default Hot garages

My garage is a detached 3 car one. It gets really hot in there so today I went out and bought a small 5,000 BTU window unit. My garage has 2 windows so the unit fits perfectly in one of them. Now I can hang out in the garage all day when its hot and be nice and cool (with the door closed of course). How do you guys keep cool in your garages when its really hot inside?

What unit did you get? 5,000 BTU seems extremely under rated for a 3 car garage. I believe 5,000 BTU is recommended for areas less then 200 sq.ft. Only reason I know this is because I've been thinking of doing the same.

But....if its working for ya, congrats! And, please share the info, cause I'm gonna go get one!
