February 2013 Gas Price Check
Who said it was a problem? I just don't want to see how much I am contributing to building islands in the middle east or contributing the the billions in profits for the big oil company. I am glad they have the ability to refine it and its something I cannot do, but I don't want to stress over the changes to the prices. Pretty simple logic I think?

If you don't want to know, then there is a problem in there for you somewhere. Your problem is you don't like where the money goes (from ^ last post). An additional problem is you never have a full tank worth of gas, limiting your driving range, BUT you still pay exactly the same amount for gas overall. If you always drive the same amount per tank and stop at (e.g.) 1/8 short of full, then you are still paying the same amount per fill-up so you aren't even changing how much you spend! If you run your finances on a budget you still know anyway.
You're being silly, bro

As stable as gas prices are, wait no they are not, I am not paying the same amount. In addition to fluctuating prices, I don't pull the same mpg every time I drive so what I do put in the car is different vs. the miles I drove is not the same. Sometimes I want to save a bit and take my foot out of it. Other times I like hearing the awesome exhaust note of the 3.8 and.... I don't go so far. Also, I don't always put 1/8 on it to 3/4. My monster and or coffee habit has a bit to do with when I stop in and its a bit random on how much I dump in it. I see my fuel in the budget but I don't set aside 50 dollars per week for fuel specifically. I have a budget of X sh*t that isn't the same every paycheck that my fuel comes from... So do I want some fast food or do I want to do a bit of hooning? Overall, maybe I save some or maybe I lose some depending on what fuel prices did. However, I don't get to see that it now cost me 2 dollars more this time over the last time I topped off and get to stress about it. That stress that leads people to hunt down a few cents savings or get mad that it went up again. I have zero power to impact the price of oil other than maybe going to fight wars in areas of high production, so if I put semi random amounts of fuel and find a way to take just a tad bit of stress out of my daily life, I don't see how that is silly. More silly that getting pissed off about it?
Did you really say bro? And I am being silly? ha.
Also, I find it silly that your are over analyzing my not filling my tank brought on by my use of the word "taken" against the big businesses that you support, I assume I would never find a Hillary sticker on the back of your hyundai. If it makes you feel better I don't like the current government either... can we be friends again?
I only swore to protect the constitution and the country.. not to like the government I serve.

Yeah it's not like we have control over it. But I look at gasbuddy.com when it gets to extreme.
My man. lol. We need to hear more of this. Thank you for your duties.

OK... I'll jump on the traders. I've said it hundreds of times... wanna get rid of market volatility so commodities trade for why they're REALLY worth? Force all trades to be "consummated" by requiring buyers to take delivery before they can resell. Bam! no more speculators, only sellers and users.
The local Shell Station is having a 5 hour gas roll back special! There was a 4 block long waiting line.

Wanna drive? Gotta pay.
I always laugh at people that line up at gas stations when gas is a few cents cheaper compared to the station across the street. I guess these people can't do math. They MIGHT save 30 cents on a tank, maybe $1 if you have a huge tank. Yet they will sit and waste 10 minutes of their lives and let the car idle in line.
Where are the savings!? I don't bother looking at the prices too often. Not too sure if that has anything to do with the fact that it only costs $40 to fill the gas tanks in my Accent's, or if I just don't care. Why should I get all worked up about something that is 100% beyond my control?

I still look up gas prices though. Over a full tank, there can be a $5 saving between the cheapest and most expensive places on my commute. Then I can get a 'free' lunch.
