^^ Exactly. Shoot, you could get the VIS from me, lol. Nobody gets any discounts, or special favors on this hood. Its been made because you guys wanted it, and it costs me what it costs me. With the exception of maybe ONE sponsor for this hood, and not anytime soon, I have to make my cash back from this BEFORE I worry about trying to make everyone happy. I think with the price of the FG so low, it shouldn't be a problem for someone who is on a budget and cant afford the CF. Even though you still gotta pay for paint which will likely make it cost MORE than the CF version. It'll look better painted I think. I cant wait to see the first 5 guys sportin the hood.

I like the new pics a lot better too. I just want to see it on the car, and get some mesh under there to provide the contrast you need to really see the final product. Mesh is not included with these though. If I had a bumper that wasn't completely screwed, I'd be able to get this thing on my RD2, but right now that car needs some love. I'll get more pics of the hood loose in the coming days guys, most likely Monday.

a few questions:

would shipping to zip code 66547 be $150.00?

could we see a few pics of the inner structure of this hood?

if money is sent to your paypal account, how long would it be before I see the hood at my shop for a CF model?

Can we get an update on the production?

I probably shouldn't jinx myself, but I'm really wanting this before a December show. fingersx.gif

No worry guys, everything is FINALLY moving forward with these as of last week. New orders will take 1-2 weeks to make and ship. The first 5 FG models will ship this coming week, probably friday. I'll be there monday or tuesday for sure this week to take pics of the hood loose, and of the inside structure.

I want everyone to really think hard about one aspect of buying any new parts right now though. We have just barely over a month until SEMA. For bodykit manufacturers, that means that Toyota, Honda, Mitsu, etc. main corporations are putting huge pressure on. So they'll happily screw me over instead of the OEM. Just remember that these are ready to produce and ship, and I've been promised everything will be quick to make and ship. But they've lied to me in the past, and all I can do is pass on the info on ship times and manufacturing to you guys. That doesn't make me the liar if they screw this up. BUT I PRAY SOOOOOOO HARD that they just do what they promise me and get a bunch of these hoods out on the market.

Lastly, something I WONT do, is ask them to make 10 of these things so that ship times will be faster. I will order each ONE when I get the money, and I'll send ITZ my payment for the new order. Until these make me some money, I wont have any on hand in stock. When I sell a few, and I have some cash to work with, I'll keep this as a regularly stocked item, and I'll have 3 units on hand at all times. When new orders come in, I'll ship one that I have in stock, and wait for the newly manufactured piece to take its place at my shop. But I wouldn't suggest waiting till then, as that may or may not happen anytime soon. Just covering my bases guys, I'm not trying to scare anyone away, but I've made bigger promises than I can keep in the past, and I just want all cards on the table with the company right now.

NOW START BUYING LOL! I'll send out all tracking numbers for the current orders the instant I get em! Thanks everyone for helping me get yet another kick ass FlyRyde part available for the crooked H guys!

Can you explain how we would go about attaching the screen? Would we need to put more FG around the edges?

what IT should do, is FG pieces of bendable steel every 6" or so, so they can go thru the mesh and bend it in place.. thats how my hood was done and it worked great.. never moved, fell off, or anything.

even if they don't do it, its probably one of the easiest things to do.. you could even resin in some small black zip ties and it would take about 10 minutes.

I've used both Stainless screws, and the thick wires to hold the Mesh on. I'd actually say the screws look nicer in the long run, plut they'll never rust, which you cant say about the thick wire pieces. You could paint em, but imagine cutting a bunch of 3 or 4" strips of wire, painting them, and then getting them in place with a bit of resin, waiting for them to dry, then trying to slide the mesh over them and bend them into place all without stripping any of the paint off, or break off the ball of resin holding them in place. OR drill 5 or 6 well placed stainless screws with little rubber washers. I like to screws/washers smile.gif

I'm happy with the look of the hood in person. I made em pull this one out of its box so I could get these pics with a decent camera. Finish looks great.

I like the bottom side too. Considering they just used an OEM hood and cut out the bottom, it came out very clean. I'll take pics of the old SR two vent RD2 hood. It looks like ass on the bottom side. This at least is nice and clean, and they capped off the support bars where they had to chop em. I'm impressed, and I'll have this exact hood on my RD2 in the coming weeks.

They look nice, but why are they making a bunch of carbon fiber ones? Are they making our FG ones at the same time?

I'll probably use screws too. They look nicer than the wires.
