I think it might be too loud with the current resonator I have. Thats why I have held off on purchasing the other 12 resonators until I have tested and like the sound on the first one.
Again though guys, I'm tired of this being skipped up, these are stainless catbacks. Thats all that you have to know, zero rust. Thats not hard to understand, but I guess me saying it over and over is getting lost in all this talk of cat converters.
Pay when you can, it'll help a lot. I just need one payment in full so I can go pick up all the parts, but again, only after I like what I have. If I need a different resonator, I'll get one, and you guys wont need to get glasspacks, because they'll sound nice as is without being chopped up. Its all actually easy since I'm doing headers, cats, and catbacks. My system will flow perfectly, and if somebody wants to mix and match with other headers, cats, glasspacks, I'm guessing they'd know what they're doing, and any issues they face should be easily overcome. If they dont know what they're doing, or getting into, then I wont feel bad telling them just ot buy the whole system from me, so all the thinking is done for them, lol.
I think I may just pick up a bunch of the angle cut burnt tip, with maybe one or two optional cannons for you guys with special needs like Majik. Honestly even though it seemed to get confusing in the last couple posts, I understand all issues and needs expressed so far, so thats all that matters. Thanks guys.

Word.
NO MORE TALK ABOUT CATS, unless it's a different question.
Chris, you have my full support bro.

I didn't think there was an option for people like me? I need the exhaust to come straight out of the exhaust curve in the bumper, to keep me from having to cut up my entire rear end to get the exhaust to angle out. I can't find a shop that will weld stuff for me under my car. They don't want to take chances with my car on a lift and flat out won't work on it... that's why I want this to be something I can do in my garage (headers, exhaust and all with no welding).
I really want the exhaust. but if it's going to be a cocked exhaust, I don't know if it'll work. sad.gif
what's the purpose of it being angled like that anyways? Doesn't that put more bends in it instead of going straight back?

Basically, the stock, and other aftermarket exhausts, go straight back from the cat, to the rear axle, over it abruptly, and back straight again after. This is not cool for exhaust flow. The design for this catback goes straight back, then a 120º angle or so under the axle, and again a 100º angle or so. After that second angle, the ehxaust tube meets the muffler and they keep at the same angle to minimize bends. So this way actually is much better flowing. To put another bend in the tube will not be hard. That wont really have to be done on the car.
If a shop is too much of a b**** to put the car on a lift and take down the correct angle, then I dont think they'd have much faith in themselves at all. They would just have to bend (of course mandrel would be best) the rear section maybe 110º and it'd come out nice and straight. OR they could simply bend another tube to slip over the existing end section, and make the bend in that. It'd have to be less than a foot, you could probably pick one up at Autozone. Then they just make sure the cannon is going to be in the right position, and weld that bad boy on. Sounds pretty simple and straight forward to me, and I've seen these kind of shops work all the time.
And yeah, these will be out a bit before the headers.

that's understandable about the exhaust design then. I honestly haven't looked at my exhaust setup in at least a few months. I need to find a good reliable shop that will work on my car and weld for me sad.gif Nashville doesn't exactly have the huge import market that L.A. does... we're more of a "how high can yer truck go?" type of town.
I just need to look around and ask people
Edit:
it'd be awesome to see how the exhaust bolts up to determine the muffler.
if it looks like the pic below, I'd suggest getting the longer muffler, but if it sticks out further already, you don't want the exhaust to be 5" behind the bumper, know what I mean? Are you able to mock up the exhaust just for a picture? It might give people a better idea of what they'd want to get with the exhaust, and how it'll be angled

I'm only going out of my way for Majik on this one. Everyone else gets what we offer. There will be one design with the muffler angled out, and I thought I'd have those pics already. But I'm not trying to give 20 options on 1 catback. Just mufflers at the moment, but I think the majority will be fine with the burnt tip angle cut.
I'll try to get you a mock up pic of my car with the exhaust fitted to it, and I'll show you where we can modify the last bit so it'll come out straight for you.

Damn, I'm just trying to get you the VDI kit, and you're tossing more money at me? LOL. Crazy cat.
Why dont you send half payment for both the header and the catback, so just 400 total. I want to bring it straight in to Hotshot so we can get those exhausts finished up and the headers started. Only if you want man, cause you dont need to send anymore money until you get whats been paid for already. I'll PM with pics when I have something for you. Thanks guys.
