In all honesty guys, I own both RDs, 1 and 2. For me to make any of these parts means I have a badass new "thing" that makes me happy to have on my cars. I'm still just like you guys, so dont ever think I dont WANT to make cool new parts. I just screwed up with my finances in my first year of business, a real shocker that is for someone who's 20, lol. Anyway, I think it was just an issue of maturity and responsibility that I hadn't yet grown into back when all the sudden I had 10,000 dollars and a ton of projects on my plate, and I had left myself nearly 5% for profit taking on all of the responsibility. One weak link made that plan shaky as hell, and certainly after half the links in the chain started breaking up I found myself in a pile debt and frustration. I just didn't know better, and rather than have a ton of successful projects that took nearly zero effort, which wouldn't have taught me very much if anything, I screwed up hardcore and learned some insanely important lessons. The thing is, even though I screwed up, you guys and the rest of my customers gave me a chance to make things right, and its been all uphill from there. A lot of people dont get second chances, and just throw in the towel and close shop. I have a buddy who's 23 (my age) and has already filed bunkruptcy because of some debt about the size mine was.

I think this thread is about a CF Cowl, but ultimately what it took to get that cowl made wasn't a couple phone calls and some quick money. I think it is more about the fact that I had to work hard as hell just to get back to the point I started at, where I could make those calls and send in that money, and appreciate the value of that to my company. Before it just seemed like a breeze so I piled on the projects. Now I know that once I recover fully, and have some money in the bank to work with, I can make INSANE things happen and I know the DOs and DONTs about this industry now. No fly by night company would ever be able to knock out the things that I'm finally going to be able to bring you guys, because that company doesn't owe you guys anything. I do. And because of that, you're going to reap the benefits of my potential to our ever smaller community, for as long as there is one.

All I really need at this point is an RD2 Cowl, and this project can begin again smile.gif Damn ITZ lost mine 2 years ago...

What about getting the one off of Type2ac's car that he's parting out? I'll hit him up for you.

Ok, that cowl is now mine for nearly nothing. Thanks Type2ac. I'll let you know when I get it and we can meet up again. BTW, are these things still going to explode in price?

You know I'm just down the street so that'll be perfect! I'm really not sure what pricing will be, but I'll seriously hand off something at nearly cost for you guys who paid 10 years ago. I just want you guys to have what you wanted. I know the retail price will be somewhere around 300-400 bucks sadly, but that's just for the poor sap who's browsing FlyRyde and decides he cant live without a CF Cowl. My rear bumper diffuser cover for the GK retails at 250, so this will be twice as big at least. Not to say it'll be twice as much, but if you're thinking "cheap", then think FG and paint it. Keep in mind it wont look stock, it'll have a much cooler feel than the OEM piece which is based on function rather than style.
