Carbon Fiber Hatch, Shark Wing, And Shark Fenders
I am interested in the Hacth but I am torn between lighter and faster or show. I guess a carbon fiber hatch doesn't make sense with a few hundred pounds of ICE in the rear and a paint job you are afraid to chip so you drive 2 miles a week locally. I may need a second Gen 2. Manual. . .Gutted.

i think hes in process of finding out what type of lexan they will be using/offering.. i hope so. .i will be paid in full if they use a harder polymer, and then ill just spray tint if they dont offer tinted lexan..
i have $500.00 ready to put down on both spoiler and hatch for a deposit.

Alright guys, I talked to the guy who did tint on my car and he said that film tint might buble up after a while because of the gases lexan will have and spray will look like shit. If the laxan will come with a speacial protection it will be outside and you will not be able to use film because it goes on the inside...
I really hope that Chris will be able to get ahold of different percent tinted lexan or it will be way too much trouble with a clean hatch. and the protection screen is a must!!!

OP I'm on AOL,
I want to chat with my guy tomorrow about what we want to use for the lexan, but guys the coolest part about all this is YOU GUYS make the decisions, so if you wanted tinted lexan, then thats what you'll get. Really, I mean unless it wont bend right or lay on the CF hatch for some reason, which I cant see if its just regular lexan tinted. I want to talk with them about using harder lexan, and hey, if you guys will pay the extra cash if needed, then we're all happy. If its the same price for diff lexan, then I wont charge extra, I'll just give the option of tinted or not. I'll not get tinted as my car has no tint, nor will it. But its all up to you guys unless my guys says there's no way in hell to get it to work. But you guys have already done the research so its easy for me cause I just tell em what you guys tell me. Its all so simple at this level now, i love it.
