The deal is though, when you swap for a CF hatch, most of the weight you are losing is YOUR GLASS. You don't want it back in there. Learn how to polish plastic, or get a margard inset.
OR, get some of the plastic guard stuff that was mentioned to me, Clearshield. Even better and you can replace it if need be.

I think the center support post might be better left off on these. At least on the 2nd Gens. So no post on Gen 2s, I'll just go with that. Everyone agree?
Fenders as promised.
and yeah I like the idea of a clear coat over the lexan, or some sort of shield like Redz said, I wanna hear more about that.

no center support post on the rd2 shark wings would be best i think. will they be utilizing the stock holes, or would we have to drill our own? just saying, cause it might look funny with where the stock holes are.

chris check out this link clearshield
i have seen this stuff on a car works amazing.. he had one half of his hood done, then drove to atl and back.. what a difference... this would be a really good idea for the hatches..

You put me down only for the hatch you punk?
From all my posts you could have figured out that I'm going all out.
Fenders will be needed my man.
Keep us updated on those protection stuff guys. We might get Chris to do it for us before they are shipped out and pay him for it.

i just thought of another GREAT part with the clearshield.
if you ever got into an accident, your lexan rear windsheild would not shatter everywhere and cut you in a million spots. you will however still be out a bunch of money on the hatch.

Lexan and other plastics can be tinted, but it leads to a bubbling problem from the gasses in the plastic escaping in hot weather.
