there is only one nut on each wiper arm (it's where wiper arm connects to the body). On one wiper arm that nut is under plastic cover.

Open the hood and you will see.

When you'll be tighten arm - hold wiper arm with your hand so it wouldn't move.

 

i don't understand how everyone started talkin about how to take the ARM off when all he wanted was help in regards to taking the blade off..

while trying to tighten the bolt, i used so much force that the whole arm broke. Now what? Where can i get another arm? Do i have to go through Hyundai or can i go to a local auto store?

 

check your local junk yard. i had to replace mine cuz of vadalism. parts stores won't have 'em. Hyundai dealerships probably would but it would be too much money.

next time don't tighten too much, Hercules!!

 

ha, i had to tighten it the wiper still didnt work. Although the more i tighten the bolt the more the Arm moved.

 

you shouldnt have the problem with tightening it to much. broke it? wow, broke the arm? wow....

just buy all new wipers then. buy some plastic ones or something, like piaa wipers. cool.gif

 

Check if that side wiper works at all!

Remove arm, turn on the wipers (be careful not to cratch your windsield if another wiper is withoug blade) and see if the bolt that should hold the arm moves.
