I went to Tint King, and they had 5% , 20% , and 35% ( since these are the most popular choices)

They usually vary by 5% if you go to a window tinting place. They have samples to show you as well, like bryce said.

Monday I am getting 5% all the way around (except windshield) on the tib! I was going to go with 15%, but the place i was going to get it tinted at started to give me hell about getting 15%, so I said the hell with them, and I went to another shop that had 5%,20%,& 35%...so I just decided that I am going to go with 5%..And it's only going to cost me $170, and that includes a lifetime warranty..So I think that's a pretty good deal

And I'm thinkin about getting 4" strip going across the top of my windshield..but im not sure?? What's your guys' input??

Do NOT go with 5%.
You will regret it .. It's hard as hell to see at night if you're not in a big city with lots of lights.
I had 5% all the way around, I took it off.

Yup, don't be stupid, you'll get in an accident. With my current tint I can barely see out the back when backing up at night, I'm going to install some fog lights back there and hook them up to the reverse lights to turn on.

Don't do anything lower than like 20%, it's retarded.

a buddy of mine has 5% all around on his Volkswagon R32. I like it alot and have been thinking about going for that on the rear and 15% on the sides.

lmao.gif You might as well paint your windows mang! Anything < 20% is ridiculous IMO.

I've been in a car with 8% tint, and I do not even know how he could see at night.

they make 33% percent for you indecisive bastards... joke.gif

Really, they do. I'm sure if you went to a custom window-tint shop they could hook you up with anywhere from 30-35 and multiples of 5 from there.

5% is what they use on limosine's. Unless you're famous and have your own perconnel tib-driver you'd better not get 5% (unless this is NOT your daily driver, which I highly doubt). I'd say your choices are:

20% all around (and a tint banner on the windshield if you'd like, you CAN get them on the bottom as well...check your laws)

Or 35% all around

whatever suits your tests, ask to see samples at the shop.
