most people go with 20% tint which is your best choice. if you go with anything lighter like 30%, you will hardly be able to tell your windows are tinted. if you with something darker, depending upon where you live and the tint laws, you will probably get hassled by cops. go with 20% all the way around (excluding windshield). if you want you can get a 15% or even 10% windshield tint strip that goes along the top of the windshield. they look nice. good luck! smile.gif

i definately noticed a difference with my tint at 35%, and remained legal to the point of a couple degrees(because of factory tint).

I have 15% all the way around and love it, but the tint laws here are very relaxed. If you're worried about tickets, just let the local laws make your decision. My only real suggestion is to get the rear 1/4 windows and door windows the same regardless. My first tint job was legal 20% back, 35% 1/4s and 50% windows. It looked HORRIBLE with the tint not matching.

on my black tib, i had 35% front, 20% quarter & rear... afterwards i wished i did 20% all around. thats what i'm gonna be doing on my first gen whenever i get around to it

20% is, in my eyes, perfect cuz it doesn't affect you at night (that much)

yup, and I have a strip on the windshield too smile.gif

20% reduces a bit if visibility, but nothing that I'd worry about. Effect of the tint is amazing in many ways:

reduces temperatures inside
makes your car look amazing
no more blinding from behind or sides

if it is legal 5% would look good. all but for the frount window
