Alright one more question. On the small rear windows, all the way around there is a fritted edge (all those black dots) the tint DOES NOT extend over these dots. They stopped the tint right where those dots are and Im not sure if this is the correct way, I thought it should extend over those dots. When I asked about it they said that the tint doesnt like to stick to those dots so they dont put it over them, sounds like BS to me. Im about ready to go back there and spell it out for them, but before I do I wanted to know if that is how its supposed to be or not, ill try to get a pic up l8r.

Alright got the Sun-Gard put on today, much better, theres a few small bubbles but i assume that just because it hasnt dried completely yet, and if it isnt theyll fix it for free so its all good. They just said leave the windows up for 24hrs and dont get water on it for a few days. I guess Ill have to postpone washing the car then cuz I dont want to risk water dripping on the glass at all.

The small bubbles will most likely go away, my passenger window (aftermarket glass) was covered in them and I was very worried, about 4 days later, they were gone.

The instructions for me were 1 week with the windows up, and don't use cleaners with alcohol or ammonia in them.

bubbles will not go away. in fact, they will get worse. take it back and tell them to fix it(i.e. rip off the entire sheet and redo it).

Depends on the kind of bubbles mang. Besides the passenger window, I had a few on the back 1/4 windows, and they went away. Something about the mounting fluid they use, it can't all be squeegee'd out sometimes so it has to dry out.

Sounds fishy to me too. My tint goes over the dots to the solid black and stops. It doesn't competely cover the solid black, but there is no point to do that anyways. No problems, it sticks fine.

a lot of shops dont go over the dots, its normal.

its is VERY easy to squeegie out air bubbles when you are putting the tint on. i dont know why someone would leave them in.

for the realllllllly small ones, you can use a blowdryer to get rid of them.

The thing is, they are probably NOT air bubbles, they are probably fluid bubbles, like mine were.

the shop that did mine warned me about the dots thing. they gave me an option... yes or no... i said yes go over the dots cuz i had a problem with the way the previous tints looked like that. They say that its more prone to peeling off... everybody i talked to has no problem with it. If you dont like how it looks then tell them to do it over the dots... it should be fine.

there is no way for tint to cover the dots perfect without leaving small spaces between them, so many shops do cut it just shy of them for a cleaner look.

best route is take black nail polish, and take the time yourself to "fill in the dots" before you have it tinted, that way it will look real clean without any flaws. but its very time consuming, and if your not careful, obviousely cause more harm then good

i would just mask off the area and spray some primer over the dots. redz, even if they are fluid bubbles and they evaporate they will still leave behind air.
