Default Will HID lights melt lamin-x?

I bought of set of 3000k HID's for my foglights but I have yellow lamin-x over them. Will the heat from the HID's melt it?

Worst case seems to me like you remove melted stuff and polish the lights up again.

Probably be OK as long as they are 35w.

i highly doubt the heat from the HIDS would melt the lamin-x or even make it peel. i would even assume 55w would be fine, especially since the lamin-x isn't in physical contact with the HID bulb..
