Default steering wheel hub

I've had my sexi little shark for over a year now and quite frankly, stock isn't working for me. It's a '98 SE and I bought it used. I'm ready for some serious work. Acceleration on it is a complete joke so that definately needs some help. Only thing I'm not ready to do is put a complete body kit. I'll get there eventually... But I know nothing about cars and I have no idea where to start and how to do it. Any help is appreciated.

some good things to due just to start off would be cold air intake, short throw shifter, and cat-back exhaust. i say, make that body kit you mentioned last....kits don't make cars go fast.

also, some high flow headers will help you out some.

depending on how you want to go.. definatly start with a cold air intake, headers, and an exhaust system. If you want to go turbo, forgo the headers.

From there things get more complicated.

Suspension wise.. the biggest change you can make is wheels and tyres. Then sway bars, strut bars, and finally lowering springs and shocks or coilovers...

Like the saying goes.. Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

i think the most import thing to realize is that performance is a lot better than looks. also, even if they're not needed, throw in some better plugs/wires. i'm gonna do that once the weather gets better up here

Exactly, make it breath better, then make it fart better. LOL

CAI first, always first. Actually, do the Resonator Mod, it's free in our DIY section and you'll want to do more after that.

CAI, headers, exhaust, BBTB, BIM (Big Bore Throttle Body, Bored Intake Manifold).

Slap some clear corners on it, do my REDZ Trunk Light Mod, and you'll be on your way.

And the best CAI would be...? And what's the best exhaust system... Give me some good names because if I'm gonna spend the money I'm gonna get it right the first time and make it last. Money is not really an object. Just give me the best and tell me what to do.

i'm under the belief that cold air is cold air...all you're buying is a name. i mean, there's a DIY on here to do a 'Random' CAI, you can make your own. You could also pick up the one i got on ebay here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=38634. i have it, not insalled yet, but Java (webmaster) has it and seems to be happy...if you want the "best", go AEM or Injen, but expect to pay $200.
