Majiktib - I wish my problem was as easy as yours. I also build up water n the upper hatch part and it pours out during a good rainstorm, but my tib doesn't have a rear wiper/washer. I seriously think my rear window seal is going bad.

QUOTE
It annoys the piss out of me. Every time I shut the hatch I watch the sunroof pop up and then back down briefly.

HAHA. i thought i was the only one! it's not too bad. it's worked for 10 years without leaking, it can work for 10 more. it's from the pressure build up. i sealed my rear panel vents with sponges for sound deadening so it's a little worse. i went to the dealer with my roof popped up and they all broke in awe at the BODY matched sunroof! they were shocked. i take it as a luxury. i don't like those slide back roof. not to mention this one looks teh sex when back.

i'm almost 100% my shark spoiler needs sealing. just take some clear plumbing silicone and put some in there.

if one were concerned about water coming in through the vents but did not want to seal them they could attach a piece of rubber to the outside of the vent so that a buildup of pressure within the cabin would blow it open until the pressure equalized at which point it would close again. this would function as a primitive check valve allowing air to exit but stopping water from entering and slightly dampening road noise

Thanks for the replys, ive looked everywhere and even sprayed the car down.

It isnt leaking through the spoiler, main trunk seals or what not.. Any other suggestions

as to where the leak may be?? Could it be through the hole where u thead the piece

to lock the spare tire in place>?? Suggestions please.. One thing is that the carpet doesnt

appear to be wet, thus i believe it is coming in from where the spare is.
