I saw a veilside on an rd2 in person a few weeks ago and it looked a lot better than it does in pictures.

The veilside kit was awesome when it first came out and not many people had it. And when Summer put it on her RD1, it was unique and different. But then EVERYONE started getting it, and then they started making cheap knockoffs, and then more people starting putting it on their RD1s, and it got old fast. One of the reasons I love my kit so much is because I can think of only 3 other cars that had the same kit, and all of them are gone. I can't think of any others that currently have the same look.

There are few Veilside tibs that do stand out in my mind from the others, because they did something different or unique with them instead of just slapping it on and painting it. Like the way Rix had his painted. The kit itself isn't terrible, it's just been way overdone to the point where it's sickening.

^ Agreed.

I've wanted to paint my car two-tone for years, with the front bumper exactly how Rix did (the lines are perfect for it). I've just decided to spend less and less money on it every year and don't want to go through the hassle of dumping $3,000 into it and not having it run

the VS kit is the main reason why i'm into Hyundai,
as for the fitting of the kit , mine is a knockoff and is by far way much better then a real VS that a saw.
i know a guy who bough a real VS to be sure not to struggle for fittment and it was 10 time worst then my knockoff VS for 5 time the price

plain and simple, it wasn't a real Veilside then. maybe a company selling it as a veilside, but not real..

no knockoff would fit better then a TRUE veilside part. Veilsides stuff is OEM quality fitment.

I have a veilside shiftknob, and it's great, it has great weight, and it help me shift gears...whoohoo.

i think veilside is the bose brand of the automotive industry. Way overpriced for a promise of quality.

to me personally i dont like the look of veilside, real or fake...but to his/her there own

thats why im going a different route with my kit,

but if you get knockoff crap, more the 98% of time its not going to fit perfect...

even my gt lip has faws
