My friend got his Rex tinted for $60 at a mexican flea market . Bubbled at first but took it back and they fixed it. He bent the axle and sub-frame a few months later so can't say how long the tint would have lasted, he sold it.

i had 35% on all the side windows...

then i retinted them to 20% ... no cop trouble

did the tinting myself and you can't tell the diff. it took me two trys to tint them.

i get the state troopers driving by me giving me "glaring" looks, but they don't care.

best tip if you are doing it yourself.... Take out the drivers windows and tint them outside of the car. no bubbles on the window.

i love tint... hail.gif can't live without it.

That stick-on sheet-tint stuff is illegal here... I got pulled over last summer for it and the cop told me to either rip it all off in front of him or get a ticket.
I told him to go get his ticket book. That's the only time it's been brought up though.

I don't know a lot about tinting, but I guess the only legal kind is some kind of dipping process? shrug.gif

Thats generally how tint is taken off, razor and heat gun. Razor just to get the glue off and start the sides.

If you are doing tint your self cut and measure on the outside and kindof stretch fit it for good results. And never be scared too use too much water! As long as you card it out afterwards!

I use Llumar for all the jobs I ve done, here its usually 15% sides and sun strips with 5% on the back.

Yes on the tint. Less it be a show car. Then tintless is the way to go. Ever notice most show cars are tintless or designed.
