Sunroof
yeah, Ive been thinking of just maybe overlaying a cf sheet on top of the stock sunroof...it would defeat the weight saving purposes, but with a carbon fiber hood it would at least look good, especially on a dark car like yours or mine.
But I know how you feel, when I had my first tib I went so far as to buy a sunroof so I could put it in, but I never got around to it. I made sure that my new tib had one already, lol.
My bf installed one on his Pony. Wasnt too hard at all, but his isnt electrical. So if you're gonna do the electrical one, you gotta get the different dome light and ceiling panel, as well as wire it all up. And then youd need the manual open thingy too.

I've always liked sunroofs that slide back and out like the tibs, unlike the regular once which tuck into the roof itself.
That kind of sunroof coupled with your rear airfoil will most likely blast your car off into some far away nebula...
sell the wing and put the money into the bank for when you need to pay for water damage repairs.
lol... haha.gif
if they are going to be cutting roof sections, and swapping.. you better A) have a VERY respectable shop doing this 'swap' and B) be ready to pay over 1000$ all said and done with paint MINIMUM. then they gotta wire it all up. (im not even sure if the wiring harness has the harness for the sunroof in the non sunroof version)
its going to be a ton of labor and im sure if your doing the whole roof 'swap' you will also do the drainage for the sunroof, which will be more labor hours..
have you even talked to a shop about this yet? or just thinking they are going to be able to do it, and the way your describing..
your best bet would almost be finding a tib with a sunroof, taking all yoru mods off, selling your car, and buying the other tib.
this seems like a HUGE investment with not much out of it.
you could get an aftermarket one that is painted on top (color of car) that is removable and you can just throw it in the backseat. prob would cost less than 500$ total as opposed to 1000-1500$.

LOL!!!
I'm wondering if I put an adhesive carbon fiber sheet over the stock sunroof, if it would look ricey. It's real CF, not that fake sticker stuff. It wouldnt save weight but would cover up the rust and provide an extra layer.
