My buddy has a really nice 03 tib, and he smoked his tails and i really wanna do mine. i'm probably just gonna pay him to order the nightshade and do it for me cuz i'm lazy smile.gif but i wana know has ne1 done this b4 to a rd1 or rd2 in particular"? i've got a black 01, and no external mods, but deeeep dark tint comin for summer, along with a black windshield banner soon as i mount it, and i think the smoked tails would make it look hot. any opinions?

Dude, just order the covers from KSpec. Like $50 and a lot less aggravation. And if you don't like them or get heat from the 5-0 you can just take them off.

everyone I know that has used the Nite Shades has ended up with dull, non-glossy looking tails...mine were done with polyurethane and clear coat at a body shop...nice and shiney...they look great when done right...

no first hand expirience on tibs, but we did it to a friend of mines car. nightshades then sprayed with clear coat as mentioned above. turned out great! im thinking about doing it to mine (rd2) cuz i personally think the kspec ones look too dark. I also might leave my clear part clear wink1.gif

That's how mine are for now... just in case they need to be cleaned off again.

I'll see how it goes for a while before I use any clearcoat... With my luck I'll get them lacquered & on that same day I'll get pulled over by a cop sad.gif

thanks for all the great pix. i'm definitely going to have to go to kspec to get the covers... they're hot! plus i'm lazy and afraid it won't be perfect, so its the best option for me. keep posting pics people if you have more, i think everyone would love to see them!
