do you have to have power mirrors to use the signal mirrors. and i wonder if they would fit the gen 2 elantra

TONE....power mirrors are not needed, u can get em if u got manual mirrors....are the tibs mirrors different from the gen 2 Elantra?, I think that they are the same size

Just found out that the ones for the gen 1 tib should fit gen 2 Elantra. Base measurements for the mirrors are 10x6x5 approx. for the TIB and 8.5x6x5 approx. for the Elantra, with a little mod it should fit!!
