Well, I bought a internal amplified ant off ebay. It should be here on Monday.

I have been looking at the Fuba Betaflex-D as used on late model Vdubs.

I just bought an antenna plug. smile.gif No more antenna for me at all.

I wish I could find a stubby GPS or wireless LAN antenna to go there instead, but they are all roof mount models. I'm leaning toward this one. Three in one.

People still listen to am/fm? wink1.gif I prefer to stream from internet radio sites.

That pic is similar to what I purchased. It's simply a rubber plug, sort of like a grommet without a hole. They're on ebay for $1.

However, I may try this wifi antenna out instead. It's only 12" tall. It seems like it could fit the stock location, and that would eliminate a big bulky fin atop my roof, which I have to admit is really ugly, although the technogeek in me is somewhat aroused by the sight of a three way antenna mounted prominently on my roof. shhh.gif Although I still would want a powered GPS antenna sometime.

fonseca, check out the 7dbi wifi antennas on ebay. they are cheap and work really good. tiny as hell too. mine is going to replace the stock antenna as well, if i dont get good enough reception with it on the cargo cover.
