^^hahaha agreed you cant really hate on that

What! looks like he painted his hood orange in that picture. looks like super fresh rust. Still looks retarded and I love bmw's, especially the 3 series.

1. It aint just sanding.... Peroxide, salt water, and bleach

2. No car with rust looks cool unless its actually a Ratt Rod or an old school VW

3. I am seeing this trend start to reach new highs (or lows). So many people (mostly kids) wanna rust their hoods, drive cars with way too much camber, and do some of the dumbest yet trendiest shit out there. Most of which comes from the VW & Euro guys. I hate it all and I argue this on other forums daily.
RUST IS NEVER A GOOD THING.

the peroxide, salt water and bleach should just be speeding up the process. I think that would look dumb on any car! rat rods don't even have rust like that. They have "patina", which happens natually, or faux patina which duplicates the natural process. Truthfully if I was to build a rat rod I'd go with faux patina. No reason to actually have your car rusting away in front of you. Or flat black, I think those are even cooler.

see, no rusty hood here!! wink1.gif

Notice the bits of paint here and there

also don't need rust - much cooler to me

Hey i know this is an old topic but how exactly do the clips well clip onto the car? does the window hit the clips at all or does it push the window out a little allowing water to get into the car? im looking to order this same rack in the next week for my bikes and was hoping it doesnt damage the window at all

The clips are very thin and padded. I've had the rack on for 2 seasons with no leaking issues whatsoever. As long as you have the correct clips for your model, these are designed very well.

There are definitely some things that you need these racks for! Not fitting these in the trunk!
