OK not sure where i screwed up here but something has gone a miss... I recently had a very bad squeal in my wipers, but it wasn't the usuall noise with a bad wiper and i noticed my wipers weren't as fast as they should be. SO i found it to be the attachment pivot for the passsenger side wiper arm. so i removed the wipers and tried to remove the pivot, well first off all 3 bolts broke off!! then i come to find out after talking to the dealer that the pivot is part of an rod assembly. No big deal, $96 later for 6 new bolts and the assembly which is a linkage arms and 2 pivots for both wipers. I am ok with the price...

ANYHOW... I install it and turn on the wiper motor and then turn it off because the wipers when selected off go to the stowed postion right! good, i install the wiper cowling and then install my wipers.. pretty happy with the work, UNTIL i turn them on and the damn things try to go down more....so i figure maybe a screwed up some where so i turned on the wipers and watched the pivots and used the key to stop them at the top of there travel. Installed wipers at top of travel. turned them on and they go through the range of motion PERFECT and not a squeal to be heard...BUT when i turn them off they do there full sweep and then go half way up my windshield and stop!!!!! WHAT THE HELL...now the stowed postion is in the middle of my windshield...WHAT DO I DO TO FIX THIS??

NEVERMIND i'm an idiot!! i indexed the arm bracket that comes off the motor.. i was sure i had it right and indexed but i was off a 90 degrees...Wipers work great!

you seem like you know something about this. my motor went bad one time and i had to get it replaced. my original wipers used to go all the way up and down but now they only wipe up a few inches off. how the hell can you adjust the degrees?

Hey, well the thing you have to do is diconnect the linkage arm from the wiper motor arm. Then you disconnect the 3" arm that is attached to the wiper motor. Turn the key to the on position and turn on your wipers. then turn them off, this will postion the motor in the stow postion. reinstall the 3" arm that drive the linkage assembly. If you are sitting in the drivers seat looking at wiper motor the arm should be installed in the 9 o'clock postion. now you are going to want to install the wipers in the stowed postion. Do all this with the cowling off incase a few tweeks are needed. I PM'd you with my contact info, it might be easier to chat about it rather than type it all..
Anyhow, that should get you on the right track....Let me know how you make out
