I think it is just glued on. Heat it up with a blowdryer, then use either fishing line or dental floss and saw back and forth through the glue.

I removed mine within a few months of getting the car. I just kinda pulled at one corner and kept pulling til it came off. It was pretty easy to get a finger behind it to start the pulling at the corner... and it didn't leave anything behind it on my car. It might have been because it was so new, but I dunno. The only emblem I have on my car is the Crooked H in the center of the rear hatch.

I get plenty of people telling me to shave it (H), but I like the looks on people's faces when they see it's a HYUNDAI... cuz if they ask and I say "Hyundai" they think "Honda" and I DONT want that happening. evil.gif

I have thought of shaving the Hyundai emblems and leaving the tiburon... More likely I am going to just move the tiburon.. Put it on the rear quarter panal in front of the rear wheel and then get a second emblem for the passengerside.. make it look a little more like the vintage sports cars I love so much.

What was interesting.. the first day I had my tib.. we hit almost a hundred degrees.. I was walking around admiring my new car while waiting for a friend to get off from work when I decided to see how well held on the dealer sticker was.. thanks to the heat, it peeled RIGHT off...

Just remember, he removed his when his car was new. If you find they are stuck real good, heat it up a little and saw it with dental floss.

Another quik note, the paint that is under the emblems has not seen the light of day for a long time, the paint might have faded a little on your car, so you might see an out line of the letters. All depends on the colour of your car, and how much your paint faded over time.

Good Point on the paint.. newer cars do not fade as badly as older ones.. but there might some difference.

so say i do take off the emblems, and the paint looks different 'cuz of fading and all,

what would i do? (well, other than re-painting the whole car )

Well, if it is not bad you could try waxing it. It may blend it a little.
