QUOTE (SOCKS @ Jan 3 2007, 10:59 PM)
anyone realize its just a prelim look before he gets the brackets, and gets it painted and stuff.. lol

i say you get the f2 bumper, and do the same thing to it, that would look really cool cool.gif

Indeed, all I am showing there is fabrication, IE - the hard parts. Which are all done now.

Mapping out that 'hole' was really difficult, alot more so than I had envisioned and the perforated steel fits perfectly and the holes over the spots are perfect also.

Right now that is like pretty awesome tbh, putting the brackets in is child's play and they will be wired into the OEM foglight wires.

I was going to make rotor ducts out of the OEM fog placements, but decided instead to take them out, sand them with p1200 and spray them with nightshade and fit 2 red strobes into them.

What with that and the 18" streetglo (also red) that will reside in the mouth there I think thatll put on a nice little evilness at night smile.gif

The finshed article will have -

8 brackets that sit behind the grille and the grille will bolt on using black hex bolts.
rubber trim around the inside (around the lights)
I will be leaving the edges jagged as I think it gives it more of a racing look tbh.

It will also be painted in black with a UK 'coupe' logo in the middle of it.

As for changing the bumpers? nah.

I hate aftermarket bumpers and kits and stuff, I would much rather use the car as it was intended and make it subtle and different (IE mine).

I love the way the RD1 was styled, the shape, the lines and even it's ass. I wouldnt change it structurally for anything..

One thing I can promise here is that everything I do to this car will most likely be one offs, things people have NEVER done with a Tib before. And that wont be true just for the front either, the side, roof and rear are all getting altered to make it mine and the entire car will be themed in black and those gold kameleon flakes.

yes, i know your stock taste in the body lines and stuff, which is why i suggested the stock f2 bumper that comes on the tib f2 evolution. still looks stock, just a lil lower and more aggresive.. i just figured that would accent the aggresive mean look you are going for..

but for the whole keeping the stock fog idea, with nightshades, here would be my personal preference to not give off the 4 foglight look.

either a) fiberglass those areas closed , so the only open space would be the middle part, or b) sand the lights smooth as a babys butt, and then coat them with some translucent white paint, almost like a white clearcoat, til it almost blends in with the white, and then throw some strobes in there.. that would look REALLY cool when the strobes were on, but almost blend in with the rest of car, when they were off.

kinda like..

or is this, like what your talking about

are you planning on doing the headlight housings black also to carry the 'black' theme?

The grille will be black as will the fogs as you have done there (I like it !!) and the corners will be black also.

Headlights will remain stock smile.gif

Oh, and gold and black are 2 of the best colors you can do together tbh. The gold is almost yellowy and bees look awesome. I had a bike once that was all yellow and black and it looked the tits.

i'm with SOCKS the F2 bumper is by no means aftermarket. but hey i respect your taste and am curious to what you have in stock for us. you write like you're coming up with some world domination scheme haha, it makes it really interesting to see what kind of changes are going to be happening.

i didn't think the head unit would work, but you made it look badass. hope the same goes for this. good luck pandz.

That front end pic.. Yeah the grille is gonna be jet black and the fogs as you have them smoked Socks.

The gold flake is like gold gltter, but it changes color also to red green and blue.

The hood vents and pins will give the front stance a look of pure aggression..
Mang I cant wait to go see Art in the morning lmao.gif

I got red strobes for the OEM fogs last night, we tested them outside work theyre awesome lmao.gif
