So, i rear ended an acquaintances car this morning on my way to school. She was driving a 98 Sentra and i kind of bubbled the rear bumper in and the clips on the pass. side are falling.
My hood is crinkled a little by my drivers side headlight and my front bumper is all scratched up (white marks from the Sentra.) Insurance is not getting involved

What should i do? I have to replace the hood... SHOULD i go aftermarket???

HER repairs will be paid for tomorrow. Not much really.

misleading title: this is the first car ive ever been in an accident with.

So, aftermarket sounds good, but my mechanics are saying otherwise. They say go OEM, and that aftermarket hoods are "lighter".

I donno, i want to go aftermarket. I mean, why not? If i was to get an aftmkt one, what should i get? what are my options?

Thats generally the point.

If designed properly, aftermarket will hold up just as well in a crash well.

The point of aftermarket is for looks and weight reduction..

what should you get? geez man you have an rd1 which means you have a sh*t load of parts brought to you by our very own chris(flyryde) i personally LOVE the hood on his site with the vents and scoop, or the evo hood.

check erebuni too
