Look for a video series from Duplicolor (might me Meguiars or Mothers though...) for a 5 video tutorial on the best way to get scratches out. I think it's titled "wetsanding" or something like that, but goes through the whole process from wetsanding to the final polish. Lots of great information, and the best way to polish a car.
