if you're gonna go through kittin the tib (with the hottest kit) and re-painted, do it right and to the interior hatch, door jams, engine bay, and exterior.
especially if you're entering shows mang, do it right. It's work, and money. but worth it. cool.gif

^^damn good price if you ask me.
although, considering that is one of the few kits that are no-problem bolt on (truley) you codl do it yourself.
Gettin it molded?
I think I'm gonna shit my pants if I ever drive up to Vegas/Henderson and see you car with the turby kit all re-painted completely. Man, now I gotta drive out there. Maybe we could do a meet next year. Get the ABQ guys to come to.
I know Haiduc and all his buddies from NT.com, got a lil' tipsy with em' one night. I know they'd be down to meet up, they know some NICE spots for pictures at night.

heres my 2 cents, well at least what i will be doing in the future.. i am going to get a little more vibrant darker blue, with a black pearl of some sort, to give a blackish effect, i like the stealthy look. i will be getting the body kit molded, except the front bumper obiviously, and as far as the bay, i am going to remove everything, but not paint it blue, rather a dark charcoal gray, and it wont be like the same as the outside paint, more of a quick job to cover everything and make it shine, i cant really explain it that well, but my shop did it on a civic and it looked sweet. it was a thick glossy paint, and they painted the bay, brackets, engine mounts, etc. and i think it cost like 500 bucks or something..
No, I wasn't saying that he was going to do it for $1500 I was asking if you guys thought $1500 would be a price to expect to pay? If not then how much? No, I'm not getting anything molded. I want to be able to take the stuff off if ever the need arises for any reason.
BTW, any opinions on whether they would have enough access to paint the engine bay if I removed the hood?
01importshark, dude lol. If I was willing to take everything out then I wouldn't have made this thread to begin with. I was trying to find a way of getting my bay painted or something without taking the engine out of the bay.
Mad_john, got any pics of that new HoK paint that your talking about? I think I saw it at SEMA but don't really remember now what it looked like.

u could cover most of the items and take the smaller things out and still paint it, some parts would look kinda funny tho, since u didnt take everything out..
well lets just say this in getting a car painted u get what u pay for.. i paid $1500, got whole car painted, body kit installed, painted, antenna shaved, and some other body work.. its nice paint job as you can see but i wish it was better.. no clear drips, just i have seen better, ask people who have seen my car in person..
you can expect to pay anywhere from 800 bucks to 5000 depending on shop, and paint you choose.. the 5000 paintjob will be noticably different and better, but if your tib is daily driver, and you may repaint within couple yrs go for like a 1000-1200 job..

i think i might have to do that.
My uncle can do any color.
I will get the paint matched to my car, then it wont chip or anything.
While im dropping in my new turbod engine will be a good time smile.gif
