I would go with a good primer/sealer. On my taurus I used 3 quarts sprayable, I reccomend 4 tbh (even tho 3 was enough).

Then go with a black base (BC-35 IIRC or something like that, shimrin) and then kosmic klear.

If you want pearls/flakes then you need to use intercoat klear, which is not clearcoat it is basically transparent paint and has the same makeup.

The order is as such -

Primer/sealer (I used their direct to metal one.. Cant remember the exact name now)

Basecoat (I used black)

Intercoat with raspberry pearls (over reduced, again check their guides thoroughly)

Kosmic Klear.

Then buffed.. Here is the end result. Not too bad at all for my first ever paint job smile.gif

Thanks for the big help Pandy. Ive been going over paint ideas for the past few days and with so many new terms and diffrent ways of doing it, its got me a little confused! I`m having a friends dad do it. Hes done lots of cars and motorcycles, and as long as i give him the stuff, he`ll do it for around $500. Blue is my favorite color so instead of raspberry I`ll see if they offer a blue flake.

Sorry to double post!! 02.gif

So far ive found "Black Sparkle" PBC100, and "Midnight Blue" PBC104. These seem pretty good, but i have one problem ..... I`m Colorblind!! Sometimes I forget about it and while trying to figure something out I remembered. lmao.gif
