Default Orange peel

Im starting my hand at learning how to paint and a couple of small things I have sprayed came out with a lot of orange peel. I know it can be wet sanded out when its dry but I have heard that one tip to lessen your chances of having orange peel is to try and dial in the gun more (increase the pressure a notch) before spraying. Anybody know if that will work before trying again?

What type of gun, size tip and psi are you using?

wow... Jack has returned?!

Give us your procedures and methods for spraying. Where are you spraying? How are you prepping the surface/spray environment?

still around just don't post much unless I can help out.

This may help. For base I use my sata with a 1.3 tip at 35psi. For clear I use my devilbiss with a 1.8 tip at 25psi. I hold the gun 6 to 8 inches from the panel with a 50% overlap. I've painted hundreds of vehicles this way. Also make sure you are using the correct reducer for the temperature of your booth/garage or it will mess with you flash times.
