Ive had expensive LED's, and these, in my hand and I can see not much of a difference in quality from the looks (the soldering quality is actually quite good). We'll see how these go but I'm betting they'll last long enough to pay for themselves. But if these do go out prematurely (ill only be out 5 bucks) and Ill be going with PIAA's fing02.gif

8 LEDs in those suckers. They pass for fog lights. seriously. bright as hell.

I don't think they could possibly fit 8LEDs in there DTN... Isn't it 8mm wide at the OD?

 

no man. they're on a die. instead of cutting 8 separate LEDs and putting 8 pieces of plastic on it, they just leave them on the same piece of silicone... it looks like a 1mm thick piece of yellow plastic and a resistor, but it's bright as heck and white.

look at the product datasheet, it says 8Φ that's the symbol for phase. In actuality it's not a phase, it's actually 8 LEDs on a 0 phase circuit. But regardless, you can look at the picture of the 8 LEDs. Another company markets them under a different name, in a housing, i think it's luxor or something.



Get the ones i posted. they work very well.

Those are nice. Im gonna order the leds you linked me too on ebay for the maker lights but first I gotta convince my mom that using ebay is fine cause im only 16 so I can't order them. Shes so damn cautious, wont listen to a word I tell her. I can understand why I guess but shes tellin me shes gonna call the bank to check if paypal can be a scam and shit and its pissin me off..alot...and i hope they're not green like that. I want a white/blue colour...probably just the camera makin it look more green than blue
