Krypton Bulbs??? UPDATE
Any of you guys heard of krypton (30%Krypton/20%Xenon)bulbs? I called Hiperindustries 1-714-895-5972 looking for their HID head lamp system and was referred to this number 1-888-335-6895 which belongs to RacingR.Com and PowerTeck . I spoke with "Bob" and he told me this is the newest hottest stuff closest to HID w/o the high price. Of course he sounded like a car salesman so i took his sales pitch with upmost skepticism. He said the Krypton gas allows for cooler running bulbs (since i told him i was having that problem with harnesses melting.) He could be just telling me what i want to hear to buy the product but i did some searching and thats the characteristic of Krypton bulbs...runs cooler.
My harness melts with 85w Xenon (Nokya brand) bulbs and these run @ 100w Krypton.
This is the selling point.
1. 1 pair is 39.95
2. LIFE TIME warranty on bulbs
3. 30 day money back guarantee
*6000k color temp. 100w purple or blue.
EDIT: Well, i ordered some purple 9006 Krypton bulbs. So we'll see what happens. I'll keep us up to date. I gotta find some new harnesses though.....

Hey guys! Well, i got these bulbs in yesterday and installed them last night.
The verdict?
Not bright enough due to color temp. (6000k)
They run at 80w so i'm not sure if the are capable of melting my harness AGAIN 'cause they told me it runs cooler. But how much cooler does it need to run not to melt the harness?? who knows. I'm going to return these bulbs.
I mean they look just like any other halogen bulb with a heavy blue coat on the glass. Who knows if it even has Krypton gas in it and if it does who knows if it won't melt the harness.
At this point it doesn't matter 'cause they aren't bright enough....waaaay too blue. Pitty.
There you go guys. Don't bother with 6000k Krypton bulbs. .
A 6000k Color temperature is too high up to be usefull for night-time driving.
They do look cool though...(but not for $47
)
Maybe if i can find some 4100k Krypton....
