No. that's not true. It actually looks pretty good. if you painted the side of the car for $300 it would be just fine.
you can only see 1/2 of a car at a time. you won't notice the change.

You could always see if you can get a near match on some automotive spray paint. Even if it is off a bit, it is probably better than a clearly seen word engraved into the side of your car.
