Default Inexpensive Wide Body Shark Fenders for Tiburons

So a couple of you might know this, but I sold my car. The guy who bought it had it parked, and somebody came by and smashed the fender, part of the bumper, and the corner light. As a result, one of the only sets of WB fenders for the Tiburon was destroyed. He wants the WB fenders, so we're going to mold the set of flares and OEM fenders that I have, and use them as a plug. I spoke with the manufacturer today, and as long as I bring them the plug (the OEM metal fenders with fiberglass flares molded on), then they'll make me a mold. Then anybody can order a set in FG, or Carbon Fiber, and I wont need to pay an arm and a leg to make this happen.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is... buy some! I might need a test fitter, but at the stage that we'd need one, we'll already have the mold completed and the first set on my old car. I've tried for years to make this happen, and what a strange way it worked out. Anyway, post up if you've ever been interested in a set of the widebody fenders, and what you want me to try to price them at in Fiberglass, and in Carbon Fiber. This is happening, so I'm just hoping we can get a few sets made right off the bat for you guys. Thanks ahead!

Well sh*t man, yeah, I'd be up for it, count me in for some FG ones.

Just to be clear, it's a full replacement fender, not just a moldable pod, right?

I'm down for a set! Will they look like the original widebody fenders you had on the car before the crash? Also, any chance is getting them made without the gills?

As far as pricing, depends. Obviously, with the economy the way it is, a great deal is better than a good deal, you get me? If the price is right for Carbon, I'm down. If its too high, then I'll probably just take a set in FG.

Either way, I'm REALLY looking forward to these!

Same question as a NOS4ATU, I would like them to be full on, bolt on replacements.

Thanks Chris!!!

these will be great fitting OEM replacements, bolt on. I'm just having a friend do the work of molding the flares to the OEM fenders. Once those are done, we're just using those pieces to bring to the manufacturer to make a mold out of the complete piece. From there, we'll get exact replicas in FG and CF. So this will be first generation one piece parts, instead of just molding a set of the current WB fenders that a few people have.

These are 3 Gill fenders. If the gills aren't your thing, they can be filled if you get the FG ones, by any bodyshop out there. There's not enough demand to make them without gills for those that might want them in CF nice and smooth, but hey, its a bad ass part bolt on, available in CF that is NOT OEM shape, lol. Kinda rare...
