Another question, my car has daytime running lights, which are just the 9005 highbeams but dimmer. So, can I put in HIDs there as well? How would that work? Would they light up dimmer with HIDs, or full brightness? I never bothered putting HIDs in the high beams before because I rarely ever use them.

 

msvg was selling some hid kits over at thc TC. $130 but didnt say what kind.

 

somebody once said it's illegal to have hids in your highbeams. they take a while to get to full brightness, and that prevents you from being able to blip your highs at someone if you need to.

not sure if it's true.

 

I will take pictures tonight, but I have 55 watt 8000K from DDM tuning, They are white, with a strong hint of blue, I am soon going to be ordering a set for my wifes Sunfire, will be getting 55 wat 6000K, am hoping it will be more of the white crystal color your looking for. Anyways, pics tonight as long as the wifes camera complys.

 

sorry to revive an old thread but are you guys adding hids to the reflector housing or a custom projector housing.

 

I wouldn't put HID for high beam into my car. It lights up slowly.
