Hey guys. I have McCulloch 6000k HIDs currently, but one bulb is dying. I want to go with something new, because I do not like the color of the HIDs I have; they're a bit too pink. I want more of a crystal white with maybe a blueish-purple tint, which should be 6000k, but like I said they are slightly too pink. I'm wondering if the color varies by manufacturer, because I've seen 6000ks that look more purpleish and in keeping with the color I want. I'm hesitant to go to a higher temp (or, lower I guess) because I don't want to sacrifice visibility, and don't want them to be too blue/purple. So, please post up pics for me of your HIDs lit up, along with which brand and temp they are. Thanks in advance guys!

I have apexcone 8000k, and they are pretty much crystal white with just a hint of blue. I think that the DDM tuning HID's are pretty similar as well. I don't think i have any night shots of them on but heres two taken at dusk.

DDM tuning is defintely the way to go. I was just on there a few days ago and they have some new HIDS out for a great price.

I have the Apexcone 4500k's in my fogs and lows.

Absolutely amazing. The light is a beautiful WHITE, with maybe a hint of blue. I posted up pics some time ago.

sorry, don't have any pictures, but i guarantee you that you would like 8k hids.

i've had 6k and switched to 8k. glad i did it. i live in deer country and need the light, and there was pretty much no decrease in the output.

maybe 4500, but the diff between 6k and 8k was very slight.

hmm, I think I may be leaning towards 8000k then. I'm just wondering if I can put any brand of bulbs onto my McCulloch balasts? I don't see why that wouldn't work.

Anyone else have any pics?

not the greatest pics.. these are DDM 10k. pretty blue tint to em, great visibility.

my brother has a 6k DDM kit, and the color was almost identical to my 10k as far as the blue tint.
