Hey, what do you guys think about hood spacers?

I saw some at a performance store near where i live and was wondering about if i should get some or not.

Does putting those on have consequences on the engine since water and snow or dirt can go easier since hood has crack?

I dont want to know about esthetics, personnaly i like its looks, its just i want to know about mechanical issues, of if it can break/bend my hood.

thank you very much

no problems ive ever heard about them, i guess there "all the rage" in japan. i prefer the clean look and not having it look like my hood is bent up, bet hey thats just my 2 cents, dont take offence

Don't spend too much, all it is is a couple of washers and a longer bolt. Nothing you cant pick up at a hardware store....you can even get them anodized.

I got a set of them in Korea while I was there and will show ya guys what the hood looks like with and without them later.

As for problems and such, your engine will just get a bit dirtier easier, but that's it. If you can get enough water in thru your hood at THAT angle, you've got bigger issues than hood spacers. LOL

Sorry I corrected my typo, anodized=pretty.

You can get them in aluminum too.
I am not sure the length or thread gap, might be able to get that off of Webtech or your dealer....or maybe Redz or KayJai or someone will know.
