Where did you get your quality latch from? Do you drive your car daily and if so do you travel at high speed without pins and feel safe? I'm not sure if I could do that, whenever i do get my cf hood on I'm pretty sure i'll put pins on it.

i have an erebuni hood.. im turbo'd so yes, i drive at high speeds, legal high speeds of course.. wink1.gif i have had this hood for 3 years, and had NO problems, or even a case where i have thought i would have problems. my brother also has a erebuni CF hood on his cavalier, and no pins, with no problems at all.

you just need to buy a quality hood, then you dont have to worry about ricer hood pins or anything like that..

i would never want to make my CF hood ugly by adding some ugly ass pins to it, lol.

sorry i have no camera, but the mailbox bent the lower radiator support so even after getting it fixed the hood doesn't sit flush with the front bumper, causing it to "flutter" or lift up and down at highway speeds. It only comes up on the drivers side, but i just don't want to see this hood vertical in my windsheld. The hood itself is fine. Thanks for you replys

well before this about a year ago maybe longer, I hit a Jetta in rush-hour traffic and it turned my hood into a triangle. Thats what prompted me to get the CF hood, and i "fixed" the rest of the damage to my satisfaction. So i don't blame the shop, they did the best they could, its more my fault for hitting worthless things. I was going to have them put the pins in because i can't bring myself to drill CF, and if i screw up i'm SOL. If they screw up, im gettin a new hood. I really just wanted to see if there was a stonger or more reliable pin then the ebay special. I don't want to put them on, but this is more of a saftey problem now. Thanks for your replys again.

Bend your hood and adjust the little rubber stoppers to either side of the hood. if you push up on one side of the hood and down on the other, it will bend it just enough to level it out.

When I installed my girls hood it didnt fit flush at all, so what I did was I elongated the holes that the hood so this way I could slide it back or forward, and then it adjusted the bolts so it would sit flush. Then I used her stock latch from the oem hood. She doesnt have hood pins and it has been highway driven wink1.gif , but I really never did a cf hood on a tib, but from my expirenece they should all be pretty much the same procedure.
