HID's would be great. But I dont have the scratch to get them. I have been using MTEC 4x bulbs with pretty good results. Not as bright as a true HID system for sure, but they make a HUGE difference. They are much brighter than the stockers and have NO blue to them at all. They are pure white. This might be another option for people out there.

HKC = owned.gif thanks for that write up man! my lights are from Lexus SC430 so I think it's 6500k so it's pretty bight but not bright enough to blind folks, and I think our projecters weren't meant to fit the bulbs so the light streams off to the sides a bit.

If you don't have money for $200 HID's, better start saving up. Prices on them won't go down.

I thought the brighter the color the more intensity it has? I guess the luminosity depends on the computer you're using?

haha that's what i thought, HID don't need tint!

stole it from some ukrainian redneck nana.gif

did the 'ukranian redneck' give you screens for the vents cause I'd like to use them if you're not. (got the same hood myself...)

I'd try my luck with eBay over the HID kit on shark racing. Or maybe search various car forums for H7 HID kits. Find out what other cars use your same headlamps.

AND...

what do you mean "If" i keep the tiburon.

HAHA, you definetely ARE keeping that beautiful beast out of the hands of some ricer. It's mandatory, only losers give up after a little bumper scratch....j/p man.

You know you wouldn't make this thread unless you were keepin it.

why can't you see?

when I got my headlights replaced after my accident, they were never aimed properly. I did it myself (directions in your book). I think you park 10ft. in front of a wall and the line should be like 15" high or something like that. Look it up, and make sure your headlights aren't pointed straight down like mine were.

We have very good headlights, if aimed properly. fing02.gif

Ballasts are the important part of the HID kits. I know people who have plastic ballasts and have no problem, but I'd suggest a good quality kit. The closer to "white" the better illumination. I'd stay around 5000k (kevlin scale temp). You can buy it on HP's store

I use a device which activates the high beam lights when the normal lights are used. Only the high beams will work at 25% power instead of the full 100%. This way other road users won't get blinded.

And on a Rd2 it looks awesome cool.gif

Just get some fogs... Or, like majic said, maybe you need to adjust your low-beams?

I put some new headlight bulbs in that ABQELANTRA gave me last year, VERY nice, a step up in wattage, but no problems at all.

Along with the fogs, Ive got no issues anymore.

That's exactly what I was talking about man and they also have warranty, so you are good to go! Just make sure you mount your ballast somewhere where no water will ever reach it or you are screwed!

HKC, the higher the number of Kelvins the smaller the number of Lumens smile.gif and if you got OEM kit from Lexus, you should have 4300K kit man.

Ukrainian redneck gave the screen to HKC
