I've done the HID conversion, and I had done a writeup on it. I'll see if i can find it and post it up again.

For the Gen1 and Gen2 Tiburon, you'll need 2 complete sets, one for low beams and one for high beams, since the stock setup uses 4 bulbs.

To make a long story short, wire them in using relays rather than relying on the headlight wiring for power. I could ONLY get them to work using relays.(power from the battery, "switch" power for the relay goes to the stock light wiring).

Thanks Random what the hell did you use i take it it was 2 seperate light units. You must have made your own surround to make it look the same sort of style as the 2nd gens. Id love to see any pics of the result.

Jon-

The HID's are just bulbs and ballasts. They are NOT housings. You have to modify your STOCK housings to fit the HID wiring.

Right i see thanks for the link. They are not twin lights they are just unbelievably bright and efficiant lights. Still temping as not a lot of light from our stock units seems to get to the right spot. There not exactly very bright as standard.

You could always just leave your low beams as "standard" and then keep the HID lights as "superbright" high beams.

Or use the HID's as low beams...but then your "standard" High beams wouldn't be very noticable.

Speaking of Hi and Low beams, I found out about a company thats selling an H4 HID kit that had a integrated Hi/low bulb. Just food for thought...
