Erm, as I have read in the past seen on most factory cars. HID is ment as a LOW beam option only.

You would not needed for high beam. Nor is it recommended.

Article spoke of the way HID was deisgned it should not be used for high beams and of course would be veyr blinding and if you came up on something reflective end up blinding yourself.

Course what we use in not true HID.

Being true hid is a HIS bulb, a spark cause in xenon *** , with specialy reflective lenses.

I suppose they could shape the bulb for h7/h4 so on housing but the article went into mention about they lack something true HID has.

Let me see if I can dig up the article.

Dont get me wrong. I am not dissing HID at all. I want it.

But of course I am only getting it for low beam.
Even if it works well in HIGH beam its a waste for me. I dont use my HIGH much at all.

EDIT:
Okay I found the post.

The reason to leave HIGH BEAMS in mainly, so you can flash ppl. Since HID does not come on and go off so easily.

About a 30sec warmup time, and then once off it needs 30 seconds before it can be safely turned back on.

That and the potential of seriously blinding others or yourself from the superior output.
