Does anyone have pictures of an rd1 headlight that is opened? or happen to know the dimensions of the projector? I am looking to retrofit some oem hid projectors and would like to get an idea of how much room there is before I tear them apart.

Our headlights work fine with HIDs. We have lots of members who use them, including HyundaiKitCoupe who recommends them. Have you tried just using some HIDs in there?

Alot of cars need retrofitting because they have reflector headlamps which will blind everyone out there or they put all the light out on the ground 5 feet in front of the car. Our projectors display HIDs brightest right at the cutoff line.

hmm.. That's wierd. HKC has a RD1 which works fine. I have an RD2 which works fine. I don't know if this has been done in the past. Have you tried using plastic polish on the front of your headlights?

i think you misunderstood. i'm not unhappy with my lights, they are quite bright, but i would like to do a retro fit with some tsx or audi projectors because they make a huge difference in output and wideness.

you could do what my buddy did with his ebay eclipse projectors. he put a plate in the projector so it would shoot out as a beam. i don't know how he did it though, he never told what he used or how he did it.

^ that's how projectors are made. They have plates in them. That's how we have a cutoff on our headlamps.
