No I wasn't even going to get one of those "turbos" I just wanted to ask him if it worked. Plus I was mentioning I've seen that car before...

Yeah, I'm sure theres a bunch out there. I guess in general I was moreorless looking for some kind of referencing for doing something like it. I have a good idea what it'll take. get lights, take out originals and test fit then see what needs to be removed or added and so on. I'm pretty intune with fabbing stuff since I mess around with FX & Halloween props all the time. That kind of background helps with any kind of fabbing. Plus I look at it as an experience to be learnt. then I'll know do's and don't. I understand that some would say not too do it, but I don't mind doing the work as long, and I'm sure, it'll turn out great.

Thanks Jalmir for those links. I'll look them over.

Jsharp~ Hey did you ever get your swap done. PM me let me know how it went. Since you're close, we'll have to meet up sometime. You're still on Longview/Kelso area right?

The first and second link is pretty good info. The third is ok, if I had a bike...lol. Seems like the "word" is retrofit. So I may have to search under that keyword. May find more stuff about it. Thanks.

So does anyone know who owns that green Accent with the custom body kit in the pic I posted. Those are the lights I want to do.
I found an 01 Accent Sun. at the wrecking yard, headlights intact, contemplated getting them, but in looking at them. I really could not see them on my 98.

Would sure like to get in contact ask that guy questions on how he did his conversion and what lights he used.

ThX

Honestly, considering the skillset you have I would consider custom mounting projectors into your housing and fiberglassing and painting everything inside up nice and using a vacuum molded clear "lense" to keep the same shape as stock but around black or body colored inner housings surrounding high and low beam projectors. I want to do something similar (except that I already have a clear lense) but the project is still a bit advanced for me.

I've looked into some projector lenses. theres a kit to retro fit them into a stock housing. I also found a video series on youtube,a guy basically showing you how to do such thing you described. the kit is like $150.00-175.00. I'll have to think about it a little. Either way I don't mind doing the fabbing. I just want projectors.....lol. I'm keeping an eye out out the local u pull it in Portland on Foster rd. its pretty much the only pull you own parts in the metro area. If'm I'm lucky I may come across a find.
I've been out there a couple times pulling tailights and damper shocks for hood lifters and such so we'll see how it goes.

So no thoughts on who owns this Accent?

Its listed here on this site in the gallery says a site Admin owns it.

I'm surprised no one knows who owns that green Accent. I really want to talk to him. Unless he's someone that was around in the early days of this site and is no longer around.

ThX if any one can point me the way.
