The RD1 is boring stock, the RD2 turns heads stock.

 

I am biased.. I have an RD1... I prefer it's sleak looks over all the bumps, lights, and vents the RD2 has... the RD1 is a cleaner design while in some people's eyes.. the RD2 is a celica (old style) rip off.

 

No, it's not a Celica ripoff.

It's a Supra ripoff.

 

I agree. I still find I whip my head around to see another Tib driving the other way. Even though I drive one myself. Even if it's stock.

 

we had this post up for a while on the ukhcc. winner at the moment is the rd1. but of course i voted for the rd2.

stock, id say rd2.

when modified though, the rd1 can look better than any modifed rd2. i cant think of a rd2 that looks better than blacktibs, jaws, tibbychicks, twisteds or nightsharks rd1.

 

I loved the RD1 when it came out... then when the RD2 came out, it was all over... I had to have one. as far as the celica rip off... I'll agree to that... but the comparison...

Sorry, but I have to say the first gen looks best.
Thats why I choose to buy a 1st gen, instead of the 2nd gen.

see.. one of the reasons I bought my RD... I found that it had a certain italianesque flair. It ALMOST looks like something Pininfarina would have penned.
