all about the rd2
sorry, the celica looks like sh8t. While the RD2 Tib is fawkin nice and sleek looking. Usually the "Rip-Off" looks worse than the original copy. Think the RD2 looks better than any other gen stock. However, the RD1 is nicer when you get a kit on it or somethn...

see.. one of the reasons I bought my RD... I found that it had a certain italianesque flair. It ALMOST looks like something Pininfarina would have penned.
right on! it has a lot to do with Pininfarina. Look at the ferrari 550 maranello and compare the headlights to the RD2. you can see there's hardly a difference in the interior light housing. i also think that the long ferrari-like/porsche style front ends have something to do with that because most cars don't have such lengthy fronts (i love that). before i forget, the tiburon is a stunner anywhere in europe; people never think of it as crap over there. as for the RD1's, the old Ferrari 328's have the same curvy style (windshields and such) as our cars. The curvy design was a bold move from hyundai.
yes, the RD2 is quite a bit of a celica rip off, however that's only facial. it's probably done on purpose because hyundai rips off all cars to try and "fit in". this is why hyundai always needs a role model (porsche, ferrari (thank god)). has anyone seen the 2006 sonata? it looks absolutely nothing like the current sonatas. it looks exactly like a kia optima and an [ugly] big-butted toyota camry.
i think each of the styles has their advantages. odessitpashka, i don't think GK's will be the top choice of this forum smile.gif lol
I have to admit that stock rd2 looks great, but IMO modified rd1 kicks rd2's ass!!! and exterior wise GK looks the best! Though I wouldn't choose GK because they are way too heavy and not offering that much performance being stock either, and to make it faster you will need lots of cash, but they do have a great potential!
The RD1 rules!!! It flows front to back, unlike the RD2. The headlights were a nice improvement, but........the a$$ end lookes like it was chopped off. They should have left the rear end & tail lights alone.
But hey thats just my thoughts. 8)

The RD2 is the bastard child of a Toy Celica from a one night stand with the slick RD1 ..... lol.gif
For reals though, they both look good to me The Gen 1 & 2 RD's have their own unique style, thats what makes them special to each one of us...

aah such strong language from a NOOB!... haha
RD2 cuz i got one. i think the tail lights look pretty cool, definitely makes the car stand out.. (i just love it when ppl say it looks like a porsche)
the ass... ohh that ass... RD2's take the cake mang... sorry. the tail lights on the RD1 look kinda wimpy if u ask me.. (this is my opinion) i think that hyundai did a good job with keeping the body lines the same but making the minor modifications to make the RD2 stand out more

rd2!! I love the round headlights, interior, plus they all came with the 2.0. The wheels are better and look better. The rd1 was too plain stock, with the rd2 they were trying to really break into the sport compact market.
too bad the gk ended up being the one to do it, the rd's look soo much better. but I'd still take a gk over alot of the other stuff out there laugh.gif
