I remember somewhere on this forum tha someone had posted for sale rd2 fog light assembly's for $99. I'm so tempted to get them as the front bumper looks lacking without them. THe problem that I am wondering about is the wiring. I put my car over a garage pit the other day and looked around to see if hyundai by chance still put the wiring harness in for the fog lights. I saw nonthing whatsoever around the blanks for the fog lights either dangling or zip tied off to the side somewhere. Then to make it more puzzling I pulled of my dash the other day as well so I could install reverse glow gauges and while I had the dash off, I saw one connector available on the left of the gauges, that unused cluster where the fog light button would go if there was one. Question is that connector for the fog lights if I install them or is that for another option that wasn't installed? If I remember correctly it wasa white connector with 6-8 wires to it.
Hopefully I make sense in this, and if I made something hard to understand, I'll try to describe it better. TIA.

I added factory fogs to my car about a month and a half ago, and was it ever a project... lol. Here's the basic rundown:
There are two wiring harnesses that involve the fog light wiring: one is the dash harness, and the other is the engine compartment harness. Your dash harness will have the wiring for the fog lights. The plug will be plugged into the back of the fog light switch blanking cover. That's the easy part...
If your car did not come with factory fogs, then your engine compartment wiring harness will NOT have any of the wiring for the fog lights. This includes plugs in the engine compartment fuse box for the relay and fuse. This unfortunately means that you will have to create the entire circuit between the switch and the fog lights themselves. I found the WebTech electrical schematic for the fog light circuit to be a huge help. I just created a harness and integrated everything as per the schematic. You will need to know how to read a wiring diagram to do that, though.
Now, on the other hand, if you didn't want to use the factory fog light switch, things would be a little easier. You could just mount yourself a simple switch and run the fogs the way you would do any other aftermarket fog lights. Using the factory fog light switch is what makes things a little more difficult because of the way the switch is wired.

hmm i should get fog light for my car as well, your right our car does look lacking without, but where can i find factory fog light, cuz i couldnt find crap online so far
my car already have the fog light wiring sitting there waiting to be hooked up, the reason lights are not there is cuz it was damaged in the accident before my dealership took it in, so thats why im looking around for replacement

I got mine on eBay. You can also get them on SeoulfulRacing.com . Only reason I got mine on eBay was because I'm an impatient person and I paid extra for two day shipping. LOL

colbaltblue - thanks for that descriptive info. At least i now know what is involved. If that is the case, I just decided that will be a spring project, as that is a bit of an involved install that i would rather not do it out in 40' weather. I might end up just going to one of the junk yards around here and see if I can find a tibby with the fog lights and rip out the other half of the wiring harness/lights and re-installing it into my tib. Again, thanks alot for the info.
richy - fog lights was part of an option package on the american tiburon. Alot of our cars over here were sold as almost base models, which mine is one of them.

Well, I wish it were as easy as "ripping out" the "part" of the wiring harness for the fog lights, but it's not. It's an entire engine compartment harness, as it's all integrated together, right down to the engine compartment fuse box. It would be a much bigger undertaking than to just run your own wiring.
It's not that hard to do your own wiring, it just takes time and patience, like anything else you would do to your car.
