Well i ordered my type r fiber glass bumper and am super excited to be purchasing my megan coilovers in the next few weeks. I feel so much better getting the blitz bumpers off.

i have taken the rear cross member out, and revitalized it via sandblasting and painting.

blasted my control arms and replaced the bushings and ball joints

blasted my steering knuckles

getting ready to blast and paint calipers



after i get the following finished i will be having a custom mandrel bent exhaust made and then it is dyno time.

then some time after that the car will be repainted a darker grey metallic.



Once i get it rolling i will take some pictures of it on the lift.

 

Yeahh!!! welcome to the F2 Bumper club! you will be SO much happier with your car because it will be classy. that bumper was designed by McLaren. it's good in photos, but absolutely beautiful in person. a shark wing to compliment it and you will have a keeper.



on top of that, yours will be a turbo, so that will already be 98% cooler than all of our cars. some hot rims, and it'll be nothing short of stunning.

 

hate to burst your bubble but i plan on leaving the hatch shaved, and hopefully will have a carbon fiber hatch.



on a side note, i couldn't be happier spending loads of money on my on tib. Lately its all i have to look forward to at the end of day.

 

HahaI love shaved/wingless RD1. Reminds me of the classy 1930s - 1950s cars. I would have left mine but I like all 3 choices. I can't wait for pics.

 

Hey did you receive the Bumper yet?

 

nah still waiting, stupid pay pal had me do an e-check because i hadn't updated my credit card info. i didn't realize this till i sent the e-check. So it took a week for that to clear, but the bumper was ordered from the place that makes them this week so i should have it next week hopefully.

 

ahh okay cool. i have this really impatient urge to see that intercooler behind that sexy smile. i don't know if i can't wait any more than you can.

 

i just messaged him again hopefully the next time i talk to him the shop will have gave him a tracking number. In 2 weeks i should have my megan coilovers ordered.

 

still haven't even got confirmation that the bumper has been made.

i was told "I just got off the phone with them, they said the part will be there ready to ship on Monday or Tuesday"

so today is Monday hopefully it will get shipped today or tomorrow.

F****ing FEDEX! the package wasnt insured so they want to take the bumper back and talk to the company that shipped it..





so i have 21 days to file a claim so im not sure weather or not to just pay to get it fixed or send it back and possibly get 100 dollars since the item is only insured to that amount for just being shipped through fedex. However this is a risk that the bumper could get broken further in shipping and if that happens i will be out the entire cost of the bumper so im not really sure what to do here guys please advise!
