Dealer Emblem Removal
Does anybody have any tips on how to removal the crappy ugly sticker that local dealers put on their cars? I really want to get rid of mine but I don't want to damage the paint anymore than it already is.
Vinyl stickers? Dont wory about the paint. The adhesive is not strong enough to lift the paint.
The easiest way is to use a hair dryer (or heat gun) or let the car sit out in the sun. This lets the vinyl to stretch (if it was cold, it can be done, but the vinyl tends to crack and it takes forever to take it off). Pull it off slowly to get a letter off at a time.
The only thing to wory about is paint fade. If the decal has been on there for a long time (a couple of years) then the paint under the vinyl would be darker (since the vinyl blocks the UV rays of the sun).

A heat gun also works, and works a bit better if you spray the stick with warm water then hair dryer then spray again let it sit for 20 secs and it should be no problem.
Make sure if you use a heat gun you don't use HIGH setting, I've melted my bumper.
