I don't think it looks clean. But as long as that paint stays nice, it will look very good. It dosn't really go with the car, but if you like it, then that would be a good enough reason to go for it. It looks high tech, different, and un-mistakable. It does not look bad at all. It looks customized, and, done well, would scream this is exactally how I wanted it. This is the kind of uniqueness judges at car shows like to see. But you'd have to keep that paintjob clean, or it would look hondafied.
though the paint job would look killer looking it's the fact of minor maintenance if you need to do any such as door dings, scratches, pits, and etc. that you will find a fade style paint job and real pain in the azz to upkeep . basically for the fact that if you have a scratch that runs into both colors you have to pay for both colors and have them blended which isn't easy one bit.
now if this car never saw the ground unless it was at a car show i say "yeah, go for it"...but if it will still be a somewhat daily driver i no and go with your first route of the two tone style.

I have to make the same choice this spring when I get the tib painted.
I figured why not check out other cars around town while i'm out. This way you can see what the color looks like on a vehicle out side in the sun and moving. Not just on a little flat paint chip or picture on the net but on a car with curves and angles.
For example I spotted a newer rx8 with a nice blackcherry metallic color on my way to walmart but I had no idea what the color was.
So I found this site.
It lets you pick the model and year and gives you the name of the actual paint and all the colors used by the company for that year.
It even has the hyundai factory colors! (like mine 2000 the code is 84486 Pastel Yellow)
Even if you don't exactly want to match the factory color of another car it could give you a good base to work with.
I figured it might help you pick a color or get an idea if you havent already decided.

I don't think that paint job works with the Ixion kit. That paint job would be better suited for something with smooth lines like the cuda or something. I do love that paintjob though. I think fades like that are cool.
