sorry for msising your original post. No, I never found anybody with a carbon fiber hood that I was able to talk to about fitment or quality. I wouldn't trust VIS anymore because of the fact that they sell Replica Veilside kits now. My friend got a CF hood from them for his car (not a hyundai) and he had trouble trying to mount it (had to ghetto-rig it to make the bolts fit). I've heard plenty of good things from VIS, but I have my doubts and a few bad stories as well.

Good luck on finding one, and keep us updated.

Default I'm lazy..

i was interested enough to email them about the hood on ebay, they don't have pics, i'm very hesitant about buying it now, if $300 + isn't worth them going and taking a pic or getting one from their supplier, they must not want to sell them very bad, but of course 300 - 350 is really f'in cheap for a CF hood.

I think the invader hood would look good as long as its vent is not too close to the humps from the high beams. Like SR's short lived vented CF hood.

yeah, and like majik said keep us informed, i'll buy one sometime soon if it fits and looks like it was well made.

wow, that hood looks really nice on white. The fitment looks pretty good on the front, how much space is there on the sides?

Default Sort of a kill story

There's a LITTLE bit, not a whole lot.

that carbon fiber hood, came out on eBay about 2 weeks after the hoods were done i had made at Versus Motorsport in California (www.versusmotorsport.com) i'd bet almost anything that is where the eBay one's originate.. heh, if so, everyone who has purchased one, has a piece of my first tiburon (red rd2 2001) on their car.. the original mold was created from my stock hood.

on topic, the hood looks sweet on your white tib, props.

I would love to have one for my Rd1... I might have to do it myself though.
